My new all time favorite quote...

While Cami, Jess, and I were on a beautifully lit path at one of the malls in Highlands Ranch. (See the pictures a couple posts ago!) It went something like this...
"Life's challenges are not supposed to paralyze you, they are supposed to help you discover who you are!"
Kinda the story of my life and everyone Else's' for that matter! I just feel so lucky that I'm along for the ride. I have had a blast as I have had the opportunity to spend time with my family while they move around the world to different places and it's ALWAYS nice to get out of Laramie and enjoy the "real world" for a minute!
We went to a Rockies game one of the weekends...it was a serious bust but Jace was Dancing and making friends with everyone...I know the view is a little skewed...HOWEVER...this is pretty much the angle at which I watched the game...and I just need to say that I LOVE a guy playing baseball even if it is from the birds eye view...things just look so good!
...This is what Jace and I do when we just can't be reverent during church...
Another weekend...Jess played Jane Fonda in our very own pool...and she looked hot doing it!
Jace decided floaties the size of his head just weren't worth the trip...
Later that night we had dinner with the sales guys that Jeff works with where I learned what RAVE Dancing looked like...and I also paid for my dinner with a $100 dolla bill and got the $100 dollars back plus the change from my meal!!! (Excellent way to get some extra tithing money right...)and then...
Jess and I had a crazy night...out on the town...seriously what's a Married woman and a 30 year old supposed to do when the singles events in Denver close down at 11:00 because everyone has kids to get to bed! We drove all the way back to Laramie but it was definitely worth the trip! (and PS I didn't keep the $100)

"Roco"
Beagle/Pug Mix
...he is the one that started it all! He is living with the best family and his name is now Hadden...He comes to visit me occasionally!

"Astro"
Dauch/Austrailian Shepherd Mix
...Just a whim... I picked him up one weekend when I was in Denver and saw an add on craigs list...came home with him that weekend. I'm no dog expert so I had to give him to someone who was much better then I was because he was only 4 weeks old and I was told he was 8 when I got him...let me tell you 4 weeks in doggy years is like 8 months in human years! He now belongs to a wonderful family in Cheyenne and I get pictures and updates about every two weeks! What can I say...I'm starting to wonder if it's my calling in life to Adopt things out to every one else...

"Rocco"
Pug
This is for real! Isn't he so cute! As weird as it sounds I promise he is one of the smartest pugs I know. I have had him for five days and he is Kennel Trained, he knows his name, and he is super chill! Just my style! We get up at 5:30 and exercize and he comes to work with me. He is hillarious! No, he has not run into any walls yet! That's my IQ test...the minute he does...I think we may have trouble! He is a keeper!

Ever Feel like your living your own mini-series of the Bachelorette meets the Bachelor in a head collision...

Seriously I wonder why we do it to ourselves...it's like we run around jumping from dress rehearsal to dress rehearsal waiting for someone to tell us we are perfect for their show...you know...waiting for the "First Impression Rose" or just receiving a rose so you aren't one of the few sent home packing for yet another trip down "I just bore my soul to one more person I thought was going to be the last person but turned out to be my best friends sister's eternal companion because I keep drawing the 'friend card'!" Seriously...if any of you watch the Bachelorette I need you to know that Jillian is my IDOL! Really...who FALLS IN LOVE and bounces back in SIX months...this is a reality show right? The famous quote of this season is..."Your going to have to slay alot of dragons to get to prince charming but in the end you will realize how worth it, it was, because the dragons help you realize what you really want!"

Why don't we, in life as women, still treat ourselves like we are princesses and we aren't waiting for someone to "choose" us but we are literally the chooser. HELLO doesn't this make so much more sense...Jillian has it made...thank heaven's the last guy she chose didn't choose her...she would have never met Kiptyn, Jake, Wes, Juan, Mathue, David, or Ed...seriously I won't name all 30.

However...we still know that in all the guys that are on the show...there are three with girlfriends...one that just wants to be 'the next bachelor'...one that is secretly in love with his step mom and one that has a family living in another city that we don't know about...JUST Kidding on the last two...that would be the story of my TWILIGHT Life as my brother puts it! Either way after watching the Premier of the Bachelor tonight I realized three things...I love men that like to wear cowboy hats, I love men that will write me songs and play the guitar, and I love men that will speak to me in foreign languages...not because I know what they are saying but because I can make up what they are saying and believe every word of it even if it is really bad pronunciation (that's for you Glen) because quite honestly...it's just for everyone Else's entertainment anyway on National TV or the chick that works in the cubical next to you...Just another beautiful part to the crazy humor we as humans like to add to our lives just to keep it "real"!

If you wonder what I'm going to be doing every Monday night at 8 let me tell you now...I will be sitting on my butt, watching Jillian prance around in her beautiful princes dresses, with her borrowed jewelry, and perfect manicure. Her precisely curled hair and perfect personal trainer body. I will be picturing myself in the dress (trying to tap into the "secret" of "The Secret") while I am eating Nachos and Ice Cream...why do I do it?...because the hopeful romantic in me tells me that life is so much easier if lived vicariously through someone Else's dragon slaying experiences, of which I could probably be the trail guide! It takes a pretty confidant woman to entertain a room full of primarily successful men and have them all still be madly in love with her when she doesn't give them a rose at the end ceremony...and guys thought that only us girls were crazy! ABC just proved them all wrong!

To all my married friends...Sorry You didn't get to experiance this longer!

PS I swear there was a guy on it tonight who was in my EFY group...he was the only one using phrases like "crap", "like", "your family feels like my family" (without ever meeting them), and who didn't try to seduce her with a glass of wine and for the most part looked extreemly comfortable in his suit.

A Walk Down Memory Lane...

Easter weekend was a huge growing experience for me. I went to Utah with Cami, Jeff, and Jace and had a blast just hanging out, shopping, and relaxing...but a few really great things happened...First things first:

The drive from Laramie to Utah is the longest drive of my life! I could NEVER be a trucker...(Or a truckers girlfriend!)
Magleby's Fresh is my Favorite restaurant in Provo! Especially because of the...
Stuffed Bread stick... UM UM GOOD! Yes it is as good as it looks and even more fattening!
Jace had a blast playing with the straws and trying to eat the napkins!

As much as I was hoping for a beautiful Easter weekend we ended up spending most of the day in the mall...
Jace and I just chillin in the bathroom waitin' on a pregnant woman with a small bladder!
While in Provo though it took me back to life there and I kind of missed it. I drove by Old Mill and the dance studio where I decided to try and take hip-hop. Ha Ha that was a joke! I cruised state street, and drove by a couple of my favorite rollerblading paths and parks by my old house. I even drove by places where old boyfriends had lived and remembered days of accidentally driving a boyfriends car into a parking pole or coming home from work to see another girls car at my boyfriends house and I couldn't be more thankful that he is now the "Old" boyfriend. Days flooding my Jacuzzi bath tub with bubble bath, or taking a hot air balloon ride in the park behind my house. I have to say that Provo/Orem Utah is one of the most beautiful places still and I felt a little home sick when we left. It was a great way to spend Easter but Dad, I can tell you that I wish I would have come home for the traditional Easter egg hunt...I could use that "$500.00"!

The Simple things in life...

I am so lucky because I have the best friends life could offer! I always joke about how the fact that I'm going to remain immature till the day I die, and what more could I ask for then friends who live the same! Ayzlynn will kill me when she see's these photo's but I couldn't resist. Sometimes in Laramie we get creative with how we do things just to get a little bit of a laugh. Here is how one random Laramie night turned out...
Ayzlynn decided she wanted to use my lock box for work to pay out of when we went to Hastings to get a movie for the night...(We call this the modern Chanel)...
(She didn't know I was taking this first picture - but I'm sorry I just couldn't resist please try and picture me walking behind her laughing so hard, about to wet my pants, with my eyes watering trying to take a picture of this! Ayz didn't even turn around...)
Finally I got her to look at me for a second for the candid camera shot, I'm still half bent over laughing so hard I could barely breath...can you imagine people's faces. Ayz just acted like it didn't phase her but look how red she was. HAHAHA!
At this point I am fully crying because I'm laughing so hard, about to hyperventilate, and Ayzlynn is doing her best to count out $22.00 in change and small bills to the cashier who has not even made a face at this point acting like EVERYTHING is normal! Who do they hire at this places seriously!
A couple day's before this I was asked to speak to the youth in my ward about Finding Joy in Life...this...my friends is how you find joy! Don't take yourself too seriously and laugh even harder at other people who don't either!!!

...but the glass will always remain HALF FULL...

...because I forgot to mention that my plane ride over...AND back...I sat by RYAN TORAIN #42 and RB for the Denver Broncos...and just so you know...He knew I was nervous to hang out in AZ all weekend only knowing one person so he called me on Valentine's Day just to say happy Valentine's and make sure I was doing ok!
And he has a GIRLFRIEND! (ps: I talked to her too...) So something good did come out of my trip and I would have never met him...had I not missed my first flight!
Signing out for now-
